Cork tape. Probably the Bike Ribbon brand, but sometimes Cinelli. Nothing fancy, the same stuff sold in every bike shop. Cork is just about the best all-around choice for cush, traction, and absorbency in handlebar tape. Not as classy looking as the cloth, and twice as expensive. Pull it tight, especially when wrapping wide bars, but careful not to tear it. Once the adhesive sets on the back of the tape, removal becomes a risky proposition. Some people peel off the adhesive strip first, which makes wrapping and unwrapping the bars much easier. Black, white, tan ("natural"), red, orange, yellow, blue (navy or royal), pink, and celeste (like Bianchi).
