This is our best-selling bicycle, and for good reason. It's rugged and versatile and well-designed for the cyclist who carries a lot of weight on the bike and/or wants a sturdy, stable ride. The LHT is intended to be a touring bike, but you can certainly use it as a commuter and general bike-lifestyle machine.

Wheel size option:
The LHT comes with 26" (559 mm) wheels in all sizes, with the 700C wheel option in sizes 56 cm and bigger. Some people think 700C is inherently faster, but I/Jim don't believe it makes ANY difference whatsoever. In any case, if going faster is your goal, perhaps the Cross-Check is more your style. We recommend the 26" version in all sizes for lighter, stronger wheels and improved tire clearance, but you can certainly get the 700C version if you insist (and your frame size is 56 cm or bigger). Please note that the wheel sizes are not interchangeable on your LHT frame - the frames are specifically designed to accommodate one particular wheel size or the other, not both.

As of October 2011, available colors are "Blue Velvet" and black. A dark green color is to replace the blue color, and a disc brake option will be available in the future - we'll update this page when these 2012 LHT options become available.
